COVID-19 Policy Update (November 13, 2020)

Due to the increase in infections across the tri-state area and in our local school systems, effective immediately and until further notice, masks will be required the entire time players/guests are in the facility, including any time on the turf. Anyone who shows up at the facility without a mask will either need to purchase one at the front desk for $2.00 or leave the facility.

A-Game Sports will continue to disinfect the facility nightly and continue to use MERV-13 air filters in all of our air handlers.

Keeping our client’s safe is of the utmost importance.

COVID-19 Policy Update (September 3, 2020)

A-Game Sports continues to take your health concerns very seriously. In addition to nightly disinfection of the facility, A-Game Sports has now installed MERV-13 filters in all of its air handlers.

What are MERV-13 filters?
MERV stands for minimum efficiency reporting value and the number indicates the level of efficiency in removing particles from the air. MERV-13 filters are commonly used in inpatient hospital settings.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended since early May that office buildings and other indoor spaces upgrade their air filters to MERV-13, based on guidance from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). (Fortune Magazine)

COVID-19 Policy Update (June 10, 2020)

Wearing Of Face Masks

With the exception of toddlers/Little Athletes, A-GAME SPORTS will require the wearing of face masks by anyone entering the premises of the building. All parents, guardians, and non participants in a specific lesson, program, or activity at A-GAME SPORTS will be required to wear a face mask during the entire time at A-GAME SPORTS. If you do not have a mask, we cannot allow you to come into the facility. If you forgot your mask, we do have masks available for sale at the front desk for $2.00. Lesson or program participants however, will only be required to wear a mask under the following conditions:

  1. Specific activity taking place does not allow for 6 feet of social distancing.
  2. The participant has left the area of training for any reason including restroom use or exiting of the building.
Reservations/Walk-Ins

A-GAME SPORTS will not allow for walk-ins for the rental of space or any other activity at the facility. Each reservation for specific space within the facility will require confirmation of the number of people that will be attending. Limits to the number of people will be dependent on the space and what other activities may be taking place at the facility during a specific time.

Thermometer Checks

Anyone entering the facility for any reason, no matter how brief the intended length of stay (i.e. pick up, drop off), will be subject to a non contact thermal temperature check. Anyone with a temperature at or above 100 degrees will not be permitted into the facility.

Restrictions On Numbers, Spectators and Length of Stay

Given the significantly reduced capacity limitations at the facility, non active participants (i.e parents or spectators) will be limited to one person per booked activity (i.e. if a child is coming for a lesson, only one of the two parents will be allowed to come in to stay/pick up or drop off.) To the extent that is possible, non participants will be expected to stay outside of the building during the booked activity or session. Once a booked activity is completed, it is expected that the individual or group will leave the premises no more than 5 minutes after the conclusion of the session. (We unfortunately can’t have people just hanging out at the facility once the booked activity has been completed.)

Social Distancing

Social distancing will be maintained in all non training areas of the facility. Social distancing may or may not occur within the training/activity areas of the facility. In those instances where non social distancing activities or drills are occurring, face masks will be worn by all participants. We will post social distancing markers using signs that denote 6 ft. of spacing in commonly used and other applicable areas on the site. A-GAME SPORTS will have designated areas in the facility for drop off and pick up of children. Customers will be asked to wait outside if the check-in area does not allow for 6 feet of distancing.

Sanitization and Cleaning of Facility

Staff members will be required to use hand sanitizer both before and after each activity at the facility. Hand hygiene stations will be available for personnel and clients alike, including hand washing with soap, water, air blowers and/or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing 60% or more alcohol for areas where hand washing is not feasible. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed throughout the facility and staff members will also be given their own personal bottles to carry with them each day when at the facility. To help both our staff and customers remember to practice good hand hygiene habits, there will be signs hung throughout the facility reminding people to wash their hands.

Other efforts to promote a safe and sanitary environment will include regular cleaning and disinfection at least three times per day for general maintenance in addition to specific area and equipment cleaning after each time of use or occupancy of an area. Plexiglass has been put in at the front desk to offer additional protection to employees and clients alike. In addition to the cleaning efforts by A-GAME SPORTS staff, a professional cleaning company will come to the facility every day for industrial cleaning until further notice. Bathrooms will be cleaned by A-GAME staff at least 3 times per day and all equipment used by instructors during a session will require thorough wipe downs both before and after use. All other high touch points within the facility (i.e. handrails, tables, etc.) will also be cleaned regularly by staff.

Staff

A-GAME SPORTS staff will be required to wear face masks during all activities and instruction. Non-instructional personnel working at a specific designated area within the facility may not be wearing masks provided that social distancing is maintained. A-GAME staff members will also be subject to temperature checks and will not be allowed to work with a recording of 100 or higher. In the event that such a temperature is recorded, that staff member will be required to take a COVID-19 test and only return to work once that staff member has tested negative for COVID-19.

Positive Covid Test

In the event that we become notified of a positive COVID-19 test for either a staff member or a client that has been to the A-GAME SPORTS facility, we will work with appropriate health officials for contact tracing protocol and notification to others that may have been infected.

Miscellaneous/Other Requirements

The water fountain will be inaccessible for the foreseeable future. Clients can purchase bottles of water at the concession.

COVID-19 Policy Update (May 28, 2020)

New Protocol at A-Game Facility

Within the A-Game Sports Facility, we will be implementing the following changes to give our clients the the comfort level necessary to return to sports instruction.

On a nightly basis, our cleaning service will disinfect the entire facility with a focus on high touch points, bathrooms, and our equipment. While we are operating, we will be intermittently disinfecting these high touch points as well (door handles, railings, tables, benches, etc.)

Anyone entering the facility must wear a mask. We cannot and will not allow entry to people who are not wearing a face mask, except for toddlers. A-Game personnel will be wearing face masks at all times when interacting with the public or at anytime they are less than six feet from another individual. In addition, instructors will be using an approved alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after each lesson. Additional information regarding A Game’s business practices and facility accessibility can be found on our website under CoVid-19 changes.

Summer Camps

We are still awaiting word from the Governor’s office on whether camps will be allowed to run this summer in Westchester County.

Summer Programs

We understand that everyone’s comfort level is different coming out of this pandemic’s lockdown stage, so we are planning summer programs that will meet your needs regardless of the level of comfort. We will conduct clinics at A-Game throughout the summer for small groups, not to exceed 5 individuals (so that social distancing can be more effectively maintained) in Field Hockey, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Strength & Conditioning, and Lacrosse. We will continue to offer one-on-one training at A-Game and you will be able to begin that training as soon as our doors open up. Please call or email us if you have any questions.

We will also be offering our training and instruction services to be done at your home, in your backyard. This training can be done with anywhere from 1 – 4 individuals of your choosing. An instructor will come to your house with any equipment needed to perform the training. They will be wearing a face mask, disinfecting throughout the day, and they will ensure that all skills allow for the athletes to maintain a safe distance from each other and the coach. You can determine the cost for this training by adding 15% to the pricing noted on our website. Please note that the pricing is the same regardless of which sport you are looking to receive training in. If you have more than 4 athletes, please reach out to A-Game to get pricing.

We will be offering custom solutions as well. We will send a counselor to run games/activities at your home, in your back yard for 2 – 3 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. All we need is a decent backyard plot for our coaches to work with. We will bring the rest of the equipment needed to have a great outdoor experience. Prices for this will depend on group size, number of hours, and travel time. Please call for more details.

New programs for the summer will be posted on June 15th.

A-GAME SPORTS truly appreciates the overwhelming support customers have shown for our staff and business’ well-being during this unprecedented challenge for all. We look forward to working with you to help bring youth sports back into people’s lives in a safe, fun, and responsible manner.

COVID-19 Policy Update (March 15, 2020)

Clients, due to the continuing developments surrounding COVID-19, A Game Sports will be closing their doors until and including March 31st. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in the coming weeks and will provide updates accordingly.

If you have a pre-paid rental that is scheduled during this period or have been enrolled in one of our programs, we will be reaching out to you separately in the coming days to discuss our approach.

Please be safe during this tumultuous time in our country’s history. We hope to see you back in A Game very soon!

COVID-19 Policy Update (March 5, 2020)

The safety and well-being of our clients and employees is A Game Sports’ top priority, and we wanted to share the immediate actions we are taking to address COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This email outlines the policies and procedures A Game Sports has adopted in response.

COVID-19 is the name of the disease associated with a novel coronavirus (a type of virus associated with the common cold and similar respiratory diseases) that was first reported in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China in late 2019. As of this email, imported cases of COVID-19 in travelers have been detected in the US (as of this morning, there are several reported cases in Westchester County).

COVID-19 is characterized by (i) cold- or flu-like symptoms; (ii) heightened rate of infection through person-to-person contact, especially due to sneezing or coughing; and (iii) heightened mortality rate. At this time, there is no known vaccine or treatment, though clinical trials are taking place on potential treatments.  Copied here is a link to the dedicated CDC Portal, which includes key facts about the disease, how it spreads, the latest information on travel, and tips on prevention and treatment. We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with facts from trusted sources and to stay informed.

A Game Sports is monitoring the situation closely, and if matters escalate we will revise the below policies and guidelines on an ongoing basis.

A Game Sports is working to help ensure our workplaces are not conducive to spreading airborne diseases:

  • Hand sanitizer and/or anti-microbial soap will be provided in all bathrooms and additional locations (to the extent that these products are available to the public)
  • The facility is cleaned by Anago Cleaning Systems. You can find out more about them on their website at www.anagocleaning.com
  • Table tops, desks, phone equipment, door handles and knobs, glass, mirrors, railings and other common areas are also disinfected intermittently on a daily basis

Staff:

  • Staff are instructed to wash hands and/or disinfect with 60%+ alcohol-based disinfectant before and after programs and/or lessons.
  • Staff are NOT responsible for ensuring their clients hands have been washed or disinfected prior to or after their lessons or games at A Game. That is the responsibility of the parents and/or their caregivers. We do however have hand disinfectant (to the extent available to the public) and/or anti-microbial soap and air dryers available to all our clients and staff.

We respectively request that parents approach their child’s health in a conservative manner and keep them home if they exhibit ANY of the symptoms laid out in the CDC’s website as it relates to COVID-19. We will do the same with our staff.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!
