The disruption to normalcy caused by this pandemic has been unprecedented. The months that lie ahead for children, parents, teachers and families are likely to be anything but routine. Supervision, academic support, remote learning assistance, socialization and safe activities for our children are among the top issues parents have expressed a concern for with a return to school in the fall. A-GAME SPORTS has developed a creative solution that may be a perfect fit and a wonderful paradigm to many in our surrounding communities.
Under the direction of Nicole Goodrich, a long standing educator in the Pelham Manor and New Rochelle communities, A-GAME SPORTS will be working with professional teachers and educators to meet your family’s remote learning needs. With the safety of all being the paramount objective, A-GAME SPORTS will be a trusted venue during your typical “normal” school hours. It is our goal to help with some of the challenges that lie ahead for parents and children.
A-GAME SPORTS will work alongside the local school districts and offer support for remote learning when the children are scheduled to be “at home” for the distanced portion of their days. We will parallel individual student’s curriculum, and assist where needed with all remote learning assignments. The A-GAME SPORTS remote learning program will not replace your child’s school curriculum, or create a new one, but rather be there to assure that their existing remote learning experience is a successful one! Teachers will ensure that student assignments are being done, and that the children are kept busy and challenged while in our classrooms. Our facility’s classroom environment will be conducted in a professional school atmosphere at all times. An educator will be in the remote learning program classrooms at all times to assist with the student’s needs, as well as to enrich their existing learning and grade level assignments.
While helping fill a much needed time void in a safe and distanced manner, our classrooms will meet all Covid-19 requirements as outlined on our website. Children will be required to wear masks in the facility at all times. Hand washing and sanitizing will take place in the classroom on a frequent and regular basis. Specific “cohorts” will be created by days and times , and children will remain in these cohorts throughout the existence of the A-GAME SPORTS remote learning program in order to enhance safety measures for all involved.
A-GAME SPORTS has the unique ability to utilize our 25,000 square foot facility to provide socially distanced physical activities in the remote learning program cohorts as an added bonus. Children enrolled in afternoon sessions will have the opportunity to participate in physical activity to keep them moving and fit. Ultimately, developing your child’s spirit, mind and body in a safe and healthy way!
A-GAME SPORTS’ remote learning program will begin on September 10th , 2020. We will follow a school year calendar that will be posted and distributed upon registration acceptance. It is our commitment to attempt to meet the remote learning needs and schedules of all parents during this difficult time. If the sessions and days outlined on the attached application do not meet your needs , please feel free to contact Nicole Goodrich, the Director of Remote Learning at the A-Game Sports facility at any time.
Please fill out the remote learning program application form, save it to your computer, and email it as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Space will be limited based on social distancing requirements. A 10% deposit for the first month will be required upon all accepted registrations.
WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER
