Winter Girls Goalie Lacrosse Training
The girls lacrosse goalie training series is for both players new to the position as well as individuals with 1 to 2 years of previous goalie training and playing experience. Each week, players will perform different drills that provide the fundamental training and reinforcement needed to be an effective goalie. This will include working on a goalie’s body positioning in the crease, shot preparation, cutting down shot angles, balance, reaction speed and clearing. Maximum 8 players.
NOTE: PLAYERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT

About the Instructor
Alexa Luchessi is a recent graduate from Western Connecticut State University, where she played four years of lacrosse. Her career started in high school as a goalie, leading her team to the semi-finals of the state playoffs her junior year and to the finals her senior year. During her freshman year of college, Alexa moved to midfield and defense, and finished her senior year as a team captain, a core starting defender and face-off specialist.
In addition to playing in college, Alexa was invited to represent a team from the United States in Australia with 30 other lacrosse players from across the country. Alexa has coached and instructed girls lacrosse throughout college and postgraduation, specializing in developing players’ defensive and goalie skills.
